Lois
Like so many
of us, Lois was married and seemingly content. Her life was shattered
one day when she learned her husband was having an affair. After
much pain and adjustment, she divorced her husband so she could
go on with her life. She later met a man and fell completely in
love. Perfect ending to the story, right? Unfortunately, it wasn't
so perfect. He was married. At first, Lois thought her objective
was to get married again. Lois found, however, that a good, stable
relationship was far more important than marriage.
Today, Lois is happily involved in a relationship with no marriage
plans necessary.
Norma
Norma worked
hard her entire life. She married young, had two children, worked
a job and pretty much took care of everyone. Time passes quickly
as we get older. In Norma's case, both son's eventually moved out
of the house and got married. After a period of time, one of her
sons got divorced and became involved in a custody battle with his
ex-wife. Her other son eventually developed a drinking problem.
Naturally, she loved her children and did not want to see them in
pain. Before she knew it however, she became more involved in their
lives than was healthy for her.
After weeks of sorting through what she could control and what she
couldn't control, with Ingrid's assistance, Norma recognized that
her children needed to live their own lives and also learned to
let go of some of her involvement. Today, her children still have
problems but Norma has realized that we only have the power to take
ownership of our own problems not the problems of others.
Testimonials
Here's
what some of our clients have to say about their experience with Focus
Coaching:
"I am amazed
at how Ingrid and Focus Coaching have improved my daily frame of
mind. I now have goals defined and deadlines that help me approach
each day with a set direction and positive disposition. I have come
to realize that I control my life. Whenever I feel that control
slipping, I realize it is time for me to talk to Ingrid! I have
many "Gremlins" to work on, but having someone to help
me with them has become invaluable to me." -

"Thank
you so much for pushing me along to start my first coaching program
or module. I just couldn't see why I should invest the time working
on goals when I am already a planner and goal setter, as you know.
How wrong I was... I found that brainstorming on the goals I have
selected to achieve during the period helped me to develop a more
'in-depth' plan of action than I usually have.... the far reaching,
yet focused, phone talks that we had pushed even an organized person
like me to be more efficient. - Dorothy Werblow
